General Announcement: Re-accreditation

Current Accreditation Status: Journal Galung Tropika (JGT) has officially completed the re-accreditation process for Period I, 2025. Based on expert assessments and evaluations of the completion of national journal scientific standards, JGT successfully maintained/achieved Rank 3 (Sinta 3).

The Legal Basis and Legality of this Decision are based on an official Decree (SK) issued by the Indonesian higher education authority:

Date of Enactment: March 21, 2025
Publishing Agency: Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology (Kemendiktisintek) of the Republic of Indonesia.

Accreditation Period: This accreditation level is effective for a period of 5 (five) years, covering the following publications:

Starting Point: Volume 13 Number 1, 2024
End Point: Volume 17 Number 2, 2028
Duration: Protects all articles published during this period in accordance with the provisions of regulations regarding scientific journal accreditation.

Implications for Authors and Researchers: With this Level 3 accreditation status, Jurnal Galung Tropika (JGT) is recognized as a scientific publication that:

Meets national journal governance standards.
Has an accountable peer-review process.
It can be used by historians, researchers, and practitioners to maintain credit point requirements (KUM) for functional positions and student admission requirements in accordance with applicable regulations.

The News: Auto e-mail problem

In connection with this, we are still making improvements to the system, especially automatic email, it is hereby conveyed that discussions through the OJS system (by email) cannot be carried out.
Therefore, confirming the follow-up of the article can be done by logging into the system or sending an email message directly to the editor outside the OJS system.

The News: Migrasi OJS 2 ke OJS 3

Sehubungan dengan adanya perbaikan sistem penerbitan dimana JGT awalnya dikelola menggunakan platform OJS 2 dan mengalami beberapa kendala sistem, olehnya mulai Januari 2022 dilakukan migrasi dari OJS 2 ke OJS 3.

Kami ucapkan permohonan maaf atas ketidak-nyamanan dan keterlambatan penerbitan selama proses migrasi tersebut. Untuk saat ini penerimaan/penyerahan artikel serta proses review masih dapat dilakukan melalui link berikut. Selain itu kami sampaikan bahwa email auto reply masih mengalami masalah dan masih dalam perbaikan sistem.

The News: Jurnal Galung Tropika has been accredited by SINTA 3

On behalf of the Editorial Team, we thank all the writers, reviewers, and editors who have contributed and contributed their scientific knowledge to the development of the Jurnal Galung Tropika (JGT). Therefore, JGT which in the previous year was ranked SINTA 4 has increased to SINTA 3 starting in 2019.

The Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education through the Directorate General of Strengthening and Development has granted Scientific Publication Accreditation for the Jurnal Galung Tropika with SINTA 3 rating based on Decree Number 30/E/KPT/2019. This rating applies to Volume 8 Number 1 of the 2019 edition.

General Announcement: Template Changes

The development of article quality in the Jurnal Galung Tropika is continuously carried out to improve accreditation. In this regard, the Editorial Board agreed to make some improvements, both the appearance of the website to the improvement of the article template.

Changes to the template from the use of asterisks to correspondence writers to the inclusion of DOI numbers. The article template is effective for Volume 8 Number 1 of 2019 issues. While the articles in the previous issue still use the old template.
