Great women must have expertise at least in politics, economics, religion, law, and education so as not to become subordinates in the life of the state. Strengthening the status of women's position is contained in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, an effort made in improving the standard of living of society by providing knowledge and skills to create empowered women. Through the women's empowerment program which is carried out together with UMKM Mutiara Timur partners, this is a form of concern about gender equality. Some of the problems faced by partners are as follows: 1) the product produced is only grated; 2) raw materials that are not available at any time due to lack of information obtained about catfish cultivator producers; 3) marketing systems that still rely on distributors and message production; and 4) non-standard product packaging. Efforts made in advancing the business carried out with four approaches, namely (1) providing training in the diversification of catfish preparation; (2) providing training and assistance to collaborate with farmers in Makassar and surrounding areas; 3) provide marketing management training and provide access to modern markets so that their products are known; and 4) provide product packaging training. Transforming the knowledge and skills provided to couples can increase family economic income. The results of the implementation of activities in the form of mentoring cooperation with marketing partners, business licenses, and suppliers (breeders) of catfish around Makassar. The background of the activity is the phenomenon of small business people, such as Micro Enterprises and Small Businesses which are generally engaged in the home industry, not yet realizing the importance of financial reports, even consider not needing financial reports because it is quite troublesome. Most transactions are recorded in memory, only a few are left in the notes that are "ala levels" as well. Because of the chaotic financial records, micro and small businesses have weak competitiveness due to not knowing their business position, whether they are profitable or even losing money. The results of the process are processed based on the type of qualitative data with data collection methods carried out using observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The results of the implementation of the activities indicate that most of the Micro and Small Business actors have not carried out accounting records properly and correctly. Various reasons for not recording include, among others, because accounting records are very inconvenient or even there is no evidence of transactions made. As a partner in this assistance is a micro-scale household business engaged in the "Makassar specialty" snacks managed by Ms. Rosmala and has been running for three years. The results of the mentoring show the interest of partners in financial reporting after the training. This shows that the health cadres do not comprehensively understand stunting and have never been trained in how to measure the length or height of a toddler. The purpose of this community service activity is to increase the health cadres' knowledge of stunting comprehensively and to detect toddlers at risk of stunting. The method used in this service is counseling and training. Counseling is done with a lecture accompanied by a guidebook for the detection of children under five years of age with stunting risk. For training, cadres were given knowledge of how to measure length and height using video as a demonstration tool. The impact of counseling and stunting detection training for toddlers with stunting was assessed through a pre-test and post-test using a questionnaire. The results of the activity showed that the health care cadres training resulted in an increase in the number of cadres who had known measurement techniques by 87.5%, as well as an increase in the percentage of cadres who knew about stunting by 81.3%. Counseling activities and training provided to health cadres can increase the capacity of Posyandu cadres in understanding stunting and how to detect toddlers at risk of stunting.
Sitti Patimah, Idhar Darlis, N Nukman, Andi Nurlinda Hak Cipta (c) 2020 Sitti Patimah https://jurnalpertanianumpar.com/index.php/jdm/article/view/503 Fri, 27 Mar 2020 00:00:00 +0700 PENDAMPINGAN PEMANFAATAN LIMBAH PADAT PRODUK PERIKANAN DI TPI SODOHOA SEBAGAI PUPUK ORGANIK https://jurnalpertanianumpar.com/index.php/jdm/article/view/463
The Sodohoa fish auction site is an area with high levels of daily pollution in the city of Kendari. So far, the activities of fish buying and selling businesses have not shown any effort to control the problems caused by the almost daily production of fishery product waste. This problem becomes the focal point for problem solving that will be carried out in the Community Partnership Program assistance. The aim of this activity is to increase community knowledge and skills through the use of fishery processing waste into organic fertilizer thereby improving the use value and economic value of the waste. Program implementation began with discussion activities with partner groups and local communities involved in fish buying and selling activities at the Sodohoa Fish Auction Place through discussion group forums. The methods used to solve partner group problems are (1) counseling and improving skills in processing fishery waste into organic fertilizer, (2) coaching and mentoring, and (3) dissemination and trials of the use of organic fertilizer. The Pabalu Balu partner group has been able to make organic fertilizer using a simple method from waste raw materials in the form of offal which is often found at TPI Sodohoa and has been trialled with the Subur Makmur partner group, with the hope that they can switch to using organic fertilizer made from fishery waste instead of artificial fertilizers. they have often used it so far.
R Rosmawati, Rita L Bubun, Mochammad Assiddieq Hak Cipta (c) 2020 Rosmawati - ., Rita L Bubun, Mochammad - Assiddieq http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://jurnalpertanianumpar.com/index.php/jdm/article/view/463 Tue, 31 Mar 2020 00:00:00 +0700 KREATIFITAS WIRAUSAHA KELOMPOK IBU TANI DALAM MENINGKATKAN NILAI EKONOMIS HASIL PANEN BAWANG MERAH UNTUK KESEJAHTERAAN MASYARAKAT https://jurnalpertanianumpar.com/index.php/jdm/article/view/462
Onion farmers in Enrekang district are scattered in almost every sub-district, one of them is in Baraka sub-district. The produced shallots are very abundant but unfortunately this is not enough to sustain the farmers' economy, this is due to the weak value of creativity due to limited science and technology utilization, onion marketing which is still traditional by relying on local local markets and collectors so that the selling price is relatively low. The goal to be achieved in this activity is to foster a spirit of creativity of the farmers in order to increase the value of economic prosperity. By way of training and coaching for the sake of giving birth to products and business spirit, starting with a review of market opportunities, market sales promotion techniques both in a modern and online way supported by good management and accountable financial management. The product offering is fried onions using simple technology in the form of Multy Cutters as a cutting tool and spinner machine as an oil filter. The method for obtaining data was carried out by means of a pre-test and post test on 30 KTH members as participants in the Cultivation Technical Guidance and Guidance and red jabon business analysis which was carried out on 23-24 August 2019 in Andinete village, Kolono sub-district, South Konawe. The test results showed that overall the participants knew exactly about Red Jabon and its economic prospects. Apart from that, there was a significant increase in knowledge and mastery of red jabon cultivation technology between before and after counseling and technical guidance. There was an increase of around 77% of participants being able to calculate the analysis of the Red Jabon breeding business. This is because the crab population along Salemo Island and Sabangko Island is decreasing, leaving the need for crab meat for export unmet. The limited availability of natural seeds among fishing groups has resulted in the small crab cultivation business, initiated last year, also experiencing a decline in production. The PPDM team cares about the problems experienced by fishermen. The next step taken by the team is to provide a training program on crab hatchery technology to the Independent Fishermen Group and the Living Together Fishermen Group. Implementation of PPDM activities uses lecture, discussion, and training methods. The developments obtained after the training show the progress of fishermen's knowledge and the very rapid increase in crab production in the last few months. However, various things still have to be implemented to obtain satisfactory results and improve the economic level of fishermen. One thing fishermen can implement is to produce their crab seeds to solve the problem of a shortage of seeds in anticipation of the development of crab enlargement which is expected to accelerate in the next decade.
Irma Hakim, Nur Insana Salam, Syafiuddin Hak Cipta (c) 2020 Irma Hakim http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://jurnalpertanianumpar.com/index.php/jdm/article/view/485 Thu, 19 Mar 2020 00:00:00 +0700 KERAJINAN TANGAN KERTAS KORAN BEKAS DALAM MENGURANGI LIMBAH ANORGANIK DI KELURAHAN MANDALA KECAMATAN MAMAJANG KOTA MAKASSAR https://jurnalpertanianumpar.com/index.php/jdm/article/view/538
The Stimulus Community Partnership Program (PKMS) in Mandala Village, Mamajang District, Makassar City, aims to overcome the problem of environmental pollution due to increasing household waste production and the lack of 3R (reuse, reduce, recycle) awareness in the community. Through training in managing inorganic waste into recycling creations, this program aims to convert waste into goods that have economic value and empower the economy of local communities, especially housewives. The program implementation stages include imparting knowledge, conducting training, producing recycled creations, and preparing a final report. Evaluation of the results of program implementation shows success in achieving the number of participants, training objectives, target material, and participant abilities. As a result, this program provides significant benefits for the community, including a new understanding of waste management, increased income, and participation in protecting the environment. In conclusion, PKMS in Mandala Village is a positive step in overcoming environmental and economic problems, showing the importance of collaboration between the government, educational institutions, and the community in creating sustainable solutions.
Arniati Muhe, Muryani Arsal, Andi Amran Asriadi Hak Cipta (c) 2020 Arniati Muhe, Muryani Arsal, Andi Amran Asriadi http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://jurnalpertanianumpar.com/index.php/jdm/article/view/538 Tue, 31 Mar 2020 00:00:00 +0700
